Known Issues:

• Welding School has between 4 and 20 students in each class.

• Welding School did not want to run large HP fan wide open if there were only 4 students in a class.

• Welding School wanted help with welding booth design and size.

• Wanted to limit cost on control panel.

Proposed Solutions:

• Provided Donaldson Torit DFO 3-36 Dust collector and ground mounted fan.

• Provided VFD drive and Air flow control system.

• Ducted 20 cells that were 6' x 6'

• Provided Goff Strip curtaining for each welding cell.

• Connected 4 independent ducts to dust collector inlet plenum. Each duct trunk operated 5 independent welding cells. Teacher could turn on 1 bank and have 5 cells running or all banks and run 20 students.

• Provided 24v compressed air driven automatic blast gates to start/stop.

• Provided Windsock to diffuse return air back into the building at slower velocity.
