Known Issues:

  • Dust is combustible and Hydroscopic

  • Indoor Location

  • 7 processes and not all run at the same time, but they could possibly.

  • Customer wanted room to add up to four more processes in the near future.

Provided Solutions:

  • Provided Donaldson Torit DFE 5-40 and Ultra-Web filter media.

  • Provided two machine mounted system fans to get to the correct CFM but ran them off one VFD Drive.

  • Provided steep sided hoppers to keep dust moving through collector.

  • Provided 8 vane 10 bar rated air locks to separate hopper from the drums.

  • Provided Indoor rated FIKE FlameQuench Style explosion vents to release pressure but kil the flame from an explosion.

  • Connected the collector to the dry plumbed wet sprinkler system for fire protection.

  • Provided in duct isolation devices to keep pressure and fire from returning into the building.

  • Provided the dust collector with an EDAP (Extended dirty air plenum) to allow smaller particles the ability to spread out above filter media since there are several points of entry.

  • Connected one duct line for each production line to allow operators to limit electrical consumption.

  • Provided custom hoods for pick up inside production area.

  • Provided custom control panel and VFD drive with air flow control system to allow rooms to operate independently.

  • Provided 70 dBA silencer and did not return air back into the building.

  • Provided fan with aluminum fan wheel (non-sparking).
